Choose Your Space:
Participants have the option to work in the comfort of the studio, where still life setups, including flowers, will be available, or venture into the beautiful grounds of Cockington Court to draw inspiration from the natural surroundings. Whether you prefer the tranquility of the lakes, the vibrant rose garden, the open cricket green, or the surrounding woodland, you’re free to explore and create wherever you feel most inspired.

Bring Your Own Projects:
You’re encouraged to bring any ongoing projects or materials you’d like to work with. Whether you’re painting, drawing, or sketching, this session offers the perfect setting to focus on your art in your own way.

Supportive Environment:
While there is no formal lesson, guidance and feedback will be available throughout the session. I will move between the studio and the outdoor locations, offering tips and encouragement as needed, ensuring you have the support you need to explore your artistic process.

For Beginners:
If you’re just starting and unsure of what to bring, don’t worry! Just bring yourself, and I’ll provide all the basics to help you get started. This way, you can focus on enjoying the creative process without any stress.

Post-Session Gathering:
Around 12:30 PM, we’ll gather back at the studio for refreshments, providing an opportunity to share your work, exchange ideas, and enjoy a relaxed conversation with fellow participants.

  • Easels and Chairs:Limited supply available at the studio.

  • Refreshments:Provided after the session at the studio.

  • Weather:Please come prepared for all weather conditions. If the weather is unfavorable, you can work indoors in the studio, focusing on still life or other subjects.

There is a cafe and pub on site as well as toilets with disabled facilities.

Disabled parking is free overlooking the Rose Garden.

Meet at my studio: 1-3stable yard. situated to the rear of the Manor House.

Come to Cockington Village and take the turning for the Drum Inn, Keep left and follow the lane all the way to the end. For more details on how to get to Cockington Court. See Directions

The number 62 bus stops just a few yards from my studio.

If you are driving, please bring change for the parking. We may run over on time so be sure not to be late back to your car as the site does not manage the parking which means we are unable to assist with parking fines.

If you dont mind a 10 - 15 minute walk, out of season parking is free along Cockingon Lane as you approach the village.

Once you have purchased your entry to this session, you will receive an email confirmation. You don’t need to bring this with you as I will have your details to confirm enrollment on the day.
