Once again im stopped in my tracks by the grand Gunnera leaves amidst the serene landscape of Cockington Country Park - nature's spectacle unfolds in quiet splendor. As I painted on location, the Gunneras stood as silent sentinels by the tranquil lake, their giant leaves leaning, gracefully dipping into the waters edge, hinting at the arrival of autumn.

I aimed to capture the subtlety of this transitional moment. Nature's grandeur, once exuberant, now holds a majestic serenity. The warm hues of autumn begin to present themselves, adding depth to the scene without overpowering its tranquility.

The fleeting sunlight as it lowers on the horison, lights up the the leaves rough canvas; The painting is a kind of tribute to the Gunnera as they gracefully embrace the changing season.
